Job DetailsJob Location: Montezuma, GA - Montezuma, GA 31063Furst-McNess Company is looking to add a full-time Plant Operations Crew Member at our Montezuma, GA location.   Starting Pay: Compensation will be determined by relevant experience and the interview process  Pay Type: Hourly rate with overtime pay, paid bi-weekly Work Setting: Onsite, working in both outdoor plant operations and indoor production/warehouse environments Core Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm (with available overtime as needed) Work Location: 261 Hamilton Rd, Montezuma, GA 31063 Benefit Package: We offer a comprehensive benefits program designed to promote health, financial security, and work‑life balance. See our benefits summary below.   POSITION SUMMARY:  The Plant Operator is responsible for safely handling, loading, unloading, and moving bulk and packaged materials throughout the facility. This position primarily works in outdoor plant operations and may also support warehouse, production, maintenance, and general facility activities as needed. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and comfortable operating equipment    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  Safely load and unload railcars, trucks, and other bulk material shipments  May operate pallet jack, forklifts, loaders, skid steers, or other material handling equipment  Assist with warehouse, production, and manufacturing operations as needed  Perform routine inspections and report equipment maintenance or repair needs  Maintain accurate weights, measurements, samples, and production records as required  Follow all company safety policies, operating procedures, and regulatory requirements  Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment through routine housekeeping activities  Support preventive maintenance, repairs, and general facility upkeep  Communicate inventory, material, and operational needs to supervisor(s)  Performs other duties as assigned    QUALIFICATIONS:  High school diploma or equivalent  Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, general labor, or related experience is preferred  Experience operating industrial equipment, or willingness to learn and operate equipment safely   Forklift certification preferred; willingness to obtain certification with company support    Ability to read, write, and speak English and perform basic math calculations   Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork  Effective teamwork, communication, and reliability skills  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities  Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record  Willingness and ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions throughout the year  Ability to lift up to 70 lbs., work at heights, and perform physical tasks in an industrial environment    About Furst-McNess Company:   For more than a century, Furst-McNess Company has been a trusted leader in animal nutrition, delivering innovative feed, mineral, and management solutions to livestock producers across the United States.
