Our client is looking for a Toolroom Supervisor to join their team in Montezuma, IA

This position pays between 75k - 85k/year

Summary: The Tool Room Area Leader is responsible to direct the workflow in the tool room for assigned shifts by managing

Job Responsibilities:

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be assigned and required.

Oversee and direct tool room associates on assigned shifts in a safe, quality minded, and productive manner with a sense of urgency to attain production priorities as scheduled

Lead projects that yield sustainable process improvements in order to produce acceptable CPK values

Fill in for the tool room manager in his/her absence Conduct daily pre-shift meetings with associates Communicate with all affected about tooling concerns and provide status reports as appropriate

Assist in the implementations and improvements of effective preventive maintenance programs for all plant tooling

Work with vendors and/or contractors, displaying company values of honesty and integrity

Lead the department in design and development of improving methods and equipment through continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles

Promote accountability by providing formal and informal performance feedback to associates; conduct formal performance evaluations that are tied to plant and company goals; utilize individual corrective action plans if necessary

Provide training to associates, develop them through coaching and mentoring, and provide recognition when warranted

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• High school diploma or GED required

• Tool and Die Journeyman status preferred

• Two (2) year or four (4) year associates degree or higher in a related field preferred

• Minimum three years’ supervisory experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent organizational and managerial skills to attend to multiple tasks simultaneously

• Proficient in computer operations

• Must exhibit high integrity and honesty

• Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, diagrams, requirements and business correspondences

• Ability to effectively and appropriately present information and respond to questions from various groups

• Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts as appropriate

• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

• May be required to adjust shifts as necessary
