We are currently seeking a meticulous and organised Stock Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing our inventory of specialised IT hardware, ensuring our technical teams have the necessary equipment to deliver outstanding solutions to our clients. This position is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and smooth operation of our technical projects.

Responsibilities

As a Stock Assistant, your primary duties will include:
* Receiving, inspecting, and accurately logging all incoming shipments of IT hardware, including servers, networking gear, and other components.
* Organising and maintaining the stockroom, ensuring all equipment is stored safely, securely, and is easily accessible.
* Conducting regular stock audits and cycle counts to maintain precise inventory records and report any discrepancies.
* Preparing, packing, and dispatching equipment required for client projects and internal company use.
* Maintaining detailed and accurate records of all stock movements using our inventory management system.
* Liaising with suppliers, couriers, and internal departments to coordinate deliveries and dispatches.
* Ensuring the stockroom and associated work areas are kept clean, tidy, and compliant with all health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
* Proven experience in a stock control, warehouse, or inventory management role.
* Exceptional organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
* Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
* The physical ability to lift and move moderately heavy equipment safely.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* A proactive, reliable, and methodical approach to tasks.
