This is a full-time, 12-month faculty position teaching in the Undergraduate Nursing Program and the Graduate Nursing Program. Teaching may be face-to-face and/or online depending on course requirements. Faculty engage in teaching, research, and service according to requirements based on rank. This is not a remote position.

Candidates for this faculty position with expertise in Advanced Nursing Practice and Adult Health Nursing are encouraged to apply. Expertise as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Executive Nurse Administrator or Nurse Educator are invited to apply. Acute care or critical care expertise is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Master’s degree in nursing at the time employment begins.

· Must have current clinical skills.

· Candidates must hold an unencumbered Multistate License or Alabama RN license.

· Nurse Practitioner applicants must hold current certification in one’s role and population area of focus.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Relevant Doctorate degree (e.g. Ph.D., Ed.D., DNP) or doctorate degree conferred by date of hire.

· Teaching experience in a baccalaureate/graduate nursing program and certified in clinical specialty.
