This role ensures all cores are prepared according to schedule before the order is set up, while adhering to safety and quality standards. Position Summary Provide core cuts to the required sizes for winding department orders. Follow the production schedule to ensure all cores are ready before setup. Maintain accuracy and efficiency in core cutting operations. Key Responsibilities Review order specifications and confirm core sizes. Operate core cutting equipment safely and efficiently. Ensure all cores are cut and staged prior to scheduled winding setup. Communicate with the winding department to confirm readiness. Perform routine checks on cutting equipment and report issues promptly. QualificationsSafety Policy Requirements Always Wear proper PPE (safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, etc.). Follow all safe operating procedures for core cutting equipment. Practice proper ergonomics when lifting or handling cores. Maintain clean and organized work areas to prevent hazards. Report any unsafe conditions immediately to a supervisor. Quality Guidelines Verify core dimensions meet order specifications before staging. Inspect cores for defects or damage prior to use. Ensure cuts are clean and accurate to prevent winding issues. Follow documented quality standards and report deviations promptly. Scheduling Expectations Review daily schedule and prioritize core cutting tasks accordingly. Ensure all cores for upcoming orders are completed before setup time. Communicate any delays or issues to the supervisor immediately.
