Architect Principal – ERP Common Services

LOCATION: Maxwell AFB–Gunter Annex, AL

Astrion is seeking an Architect Principal to support Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Common Services (CS). ERP CS is responsible for establishing, integrating, and sustaining ERP applications across the Air Force enterprise. This includes support for Defense Enterprise Accounting Management System (DEAMS – ACAT I) and Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Initiative (MROi – BCAT II). This role supports AFLCMC/GBE and plays a critical part in advancing Air Force digital modernization objectives through enterprise architecture, cloud modernization, and integration of ERP capabilities across mission partners.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

Master’s degree (MA/MS) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related Engineering discipline with 5 years of experience, including 3 years supporting DoD; OR

Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field with 7 years of experience, including 4 years supporting DoD; OR

15 years of directly related experience with required certifications, including 8 years supporting DoD.

Minimum 3 years of experience developing, deploying, or maintaining operational cloud environments (OCI, AWS, and/or Azure), with emphasis on federal or DoD systems (GovCloud, Cloud One).

CompTIA Security+ certification.

Active Secret security clearance.

Cloud certification preferred, relevant to position and supported products.

Preferred Qualifications:

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) experience.

Experience with Atlassian tool suite.

Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

Experience with ServiceNow.

Responsibilities:

Build and maintain relationships with DISA, Cloud One, Oracle, cloud service providers, and other key vendors.

Analyze current versus target architectures, identify gaps, and recommend transition plans.

Identify opportunities to modernize enterprise-level systems, enhance business processes, and integrate emerging technologies.

Educate customers and stakeholders on enterprise architecture and service offerings; cultivate relationships with mission partners.

Identify opportunities for mission partners to consume ERP CS service offerings.

Provide enterprise architecture guidance across DISA, cloud service providers, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle hardware, databases, middleware (OIAM, SOA, OSB, OEM, BI), DevSecOps tools, test tools, networking, F5 Big-IP, and other enterprise systems.

Support analysis and implementation of DoD cyber requirements, including RMF.

Document enterprise architecture infrastructure, including business units and key processes, using formal modeling techniques.

Ensure technical integration across the enterprise by participating in test planning, validation, and technical reviews.

Evaluate impact of enterprise architecture products and services on IT investments, business operations, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Support governance and portfolio management to ensure compliance with enterprise architecture and cybersecurity policies.

Review and assist leading architecture and design for migrations to FedRAMP and DoD SRG-approved cloud environments (OCI, DISA, AWS, Azure).

Support establishment of DISA Cloud Access Point (CAP) and cloud interconnects.

Recommend policies and principles guiding enterprise-level technology decisions to enhance developer and customer quality of life.
