Overview

LEAD ISSE / CLOUD SECURITY ENGINEER (CASBES):

Bowhead seeks a Lead Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) / Cloud Security Engineer to support the upcoming Cloud Acceleration Services (CAS) Business Enterprise Systems (BES) located in Montgomery, AL. The Lead ISSE / Cloud Security Engineer will design and validate security controls for cloud and hybrid environments.

Responsibilities

Implements secure IAM/RBAC/PAM and assesses Zero Trust control integration
Support STIG/SCAP/ACAS/security testing.
Review penetration test results, and engineers remediation strategies for cloud-hosted and containerized applications.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.
Ten (10+) years cybersecurity engineering experience; five (5+) years supporting cloud security, DevSecOps security, or RMF engineering for DoD/Federal cloud-hosted systems.
Certification: CISSP, CCSP, CASP+, or equivalent required/preferred; Security+ required; AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, or Kubernetes security certification preferred.
Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. Top Secret preferred. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
