Under the supervision of the Physical Therapist, the Physical Therapist Assistant provides rehabilitative activities and exercises as outlined in a treatment plan developed in collaboration with the Physical Therapist.
Qualifications
- Education:Â Associates degree from a school/college approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
- Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations:Â Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Alabama and holds current BCLS (CPR) certification.
- Equipment/Tools/Work Aids:Â Understands and has experience with the basic equipment used in exercise, modalities used in outpatient and/or inpatient physical therapy.
- Specialized Skills: Requires a high level of interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, gain cooperation and exhibit customer service skills. Requires basic computer skills.Â
