Overview

The Specification Control Specialist is responsible for new car pilot/SOP of the Cockpit and Instrument Panel Bill of Materials (BOM), model changes relating to HMMA/KMMG.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Pilot/SOP Cockpit/Chassis/Bumper, IP (Instrument Panel), and Plastics BOM with customer BOM with communication (using both Korean/English) to HKMC/MOBIS Korean
  • Develop Pilot/SOP Master Parts List for modules of all pilot/SOP project vehicles
  • Manage Pilot/SOP Parts List to ensure all departments have the most up-to-date information
  • Maintain and create Pilot/SOP build schedule/orders for suppliers/customers
  • Analyze Pilot/SOP planning data of customer/supplier
  • Provide necessary communication (using both Korean/English) and support to the customer/supplier with Pilot/SOP planning data
  • Maintain good communication (using both Korean/English) with all departments and customers relating to Pilot/SOP
  • Lead Pilot/SOP EO cut (EO) meetings with customers, suppliers and all related departments
  • Use various in-house software to effectively communicate data to customers regarding trials and implementations of engineering changes
  • Coordinate Pilot trials/SOP production EO change and obtain approval for engineered changes
  • Conduct daily checks of pilot engineering changes within project vehicles
  • Manage the BOM using SAP
  • Maintain ALC (Assembly Line Control) and HPCS (Hyundai Production Control System) codes in SAP
  • Develop solutions and alternative methods for resolving incorrect specifications in the production line or during unexpected production plan changes
  • Monthly Pilot/SOP Closing Backflush Management for Cockpit/Chassis/Bumper, IP (Instrument Panel), and Plastics production including EO change.
  • Support Head of Department (HOD), Manager, or Supervisor’s company business request in production if necessary
  • Provide well-established communication (using both Korean/English) to customers, Research and Development, suppliers, and all related departments daily
  • Prompt, regular, predictable attendance
  • Physical presence at work during all scheduled work hours
  • Overtime and weekend work as required
  • All other job duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Bilingual required (4 Korean/English skills (reading, writing, speaking, and listening))
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Good Communication (using Korean/English), analytical, and technical skills
  • Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to make good decisions and take decisive action in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work OT and 2nd shift as needed

 

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Management Information Systems, Business/Operations Management, or related field
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing

Working Conditions

  • 90% Office; 10% Production floor
  • 10% Domestic/ International Travel
