Job Overview

Wes Carver Electric is seeking an organized and dependable Warehouse & Inventory Coordinator to support our residential electrical service team.

This position is responsible for maintaining warehouse and vehicle inventory, ordering and receiving materials, preparing jobs, tracking tools, processing returns, and ensuring technicians have the parts and equipment they need.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and able to identify material or inventory issues before they disrupt operations.

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday
  • Typical hours: 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
  • Hours may vary based on workload and operational needs
  • In-person position in Lansdale, Pennsylvania

Primary Responsibilities

Inventory and Job Preparation

  • Review upcoming jobs and identify required materials, tools, and special-order items.
  • Order and stage job-specific materials before scheduled work.
  • Maintain warehouse and vehicle inventory at approved stock levels.
  • Prepare daily truck-replenishment orders based on materials used.
  • Conduct inventory counts and investigate discrepancies.
  • Identify low-stock, damaged, obsolete, or overstocked items.
  • Maintain organized shelves, bins, staging areas, and inventory records.

Purchasing and Receiving

  • Create and track purchase orders for job materials, truck stock, and warehouse supplies.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, substitutions, and delivery dates.
  • Receive and verify vendor orders against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Inspect shipments for shortages, damage, defects, or incorrect items.
  • Distribute materials to vehicle replenishment, job staging, technician pickup, or warehouse inventory.
  • Track special orders and backordered materials through delivery.
  • Support cost-effective purchasing decisions and report recurring vendor issues.

Returns and Vendor Credits

  • Receive unused, damaged, defective, or incorrect materials from technicians.
  • Restock usable materials and coordinate vendor returns or warranty claims.
  • Track returns through completion and verify that credits or replacements are received.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for returns, credits, and warranty items.

Technician and Field Support

  • Help electricians and apprentices locate materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Prepare same-day and emergency material requests.
  • Coordinate urgent vendor pickups, courier services, or job-site deliveries.
  • Communicate material availability, delays, and substitutions to technicians and office staff.
  • Help resolve material-related issues that could delay a job.

Tools, Vehicles, and Warehouse Organization

  • Track the checkout and return of company-owned tools and specialty equipment.
  • Report missing, damaged, unsafe, or malfunctioning equipment.
  • Assist with tool repairs, replacements, and maintenance.
  • Help maintain vehicle inventory, cleanliness, and assigned records.
  • Assist with tracking vehicle maintenance, inspections, and repairs as directed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and proper material storage.


Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • MUST have at least a intermediate understanding of electrical materials.
  • At least one year of warehouse, inventory, purchasing, receiving, logistics, construction, or related experience.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage changing priorities and follow tasks through completion.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn inventory or field-service software.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to pass applicable background and drug-screening requirements.
  • Ability to safely and consistently lift at least 25 pounds and perform physical warehouse duties.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the electrical, HVAC, plumbing, construction, or home-service industry.
  • Familiarity with residential electrical materials, parts, tools, and equipment.
  • Experience with purchase orders, truck replenishment, vendor credits, or warranty claims.
  • Experience with ServiceTitan or similar software.
