Position Summary
The Shop Helper supports the daily operations of the workshop and warehouse. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment while assisting technicians and shop staff with basic tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist technicians and shop staff with routine tasks
- Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment
- Organize inventory, supplies, and materials
- Load and unload deliveries and shipments
- Run errands and pick up parts or supplies as needed
- Properly dispose of waste and recyclables
Requirements
- Mechanically inclined
- Basic knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair
- Ability to drive a truck with a trailer
- Ability to follow directions and work independently
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a shop, warehouse, or similar environment
- Strong communication skills
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
Work Environment
- Shop and warehouse setting
- Exposure to noise, dust, and machinery
- Must follow safety standards and use required protective equipment
