Day Shift: $20/hr
7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Night Shift: $20/hr + $2 night differential
7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Shifts are on a rotating 2-week schedule:
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday (48 hours)
Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday (36 hours)
This rotation schedule provides:
-Every other weekend off
-14 working days per month
-Guaranteed overtime every other week
The Material Handling Specialist role is integral to manufacturing operations at Tangent Technologies. This position focuses on the safe, efficient movement and staging of materials within the facility using sit-down forklifts.
聽Role and Responsibilities / Essential Functions
- Material Transportation: Responsible for operating sit-down forklifts to relocate finished goods and raw materials throughout the facility
- Material Staging: Accountable for staging raw materials for production operators, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Oversized Handling: Specialized in managing and loading oversized pallets and staging pellets for operators.
- Independent Work: Ability to complete tasks autonomously, requiring minimal supervision.
- Safety Compliance: Adherence to all safety guidelines to maintain a secure work environment.聽聽
Requirements
Required Skills / Abilities / Competencies
路 A minimum of 1-2 years of forklift experience is required.
路 Strong sense of responsibility, particularly concerning safety protocols.
路 Proficiency in independent decision-making and problem-solving.
路 Prior experience with sit-down forklift operation is mandatory.
路 Effective communication skills across diverse levels of the organization.
Education and Experience
路 High School diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
路 A minimum of 1 year of sustained employment in a manufacturing setting is highly preferred.
Mental/Physical Requirements
路 Lifting Capacity: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. using correct lifting techniques.
路 Heat Tolerance: Capable of working in high-heat conditions.
路 Mobility: Role includes occasional stooping, kneeling, and crouching, in addition to continuous standing and movement within the facility.
