Join our team as a Direct Support Professional and help individuals with disabilities live more independently, achieve their goals, and thrive every day. Our Direct Support Professionals provide assistance to individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities to live an independent life with assistance from caring professionals. DSPs provide assistance in areas including, but not limited to: Companionship Community engagement and socialization Personal hygiene Routine housekeeping tasks Administration of medications Money management Nutrition, grocery shopping, and cooking Attending medical appointments Proper use of appliances and adaptive/assistive devices Home safety, first aid, and emergency procedures Our DSPs are an integral part of the individuals’ lives through the implementation of a person-centered individualized plan that enables those we serve to participate in thriving and vibrant communities. QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must pass background checks. Must have a valid driver’s license, a working vehicle, personal vehicle insurance, and acceptable driving record. Must be willing to work non-traditional hours (as required) to meet individual needs (evenings, weekends, and holidays). Excellent work and personal references required. No experience required. Additional expectations include the ability to complete all required written documentation and supporting reports of services provided; Manage a variable work schedule with good attendance and punctuality; Complete ongoing in-service and other educational training. Weekend Premium: Staff will receive a $1.00 increase to their hourly rate of pay. Midnight Premium: Staff will receive a $1.50 increase to their hourly rate of pay.
