Wieland is hiring a General Labor. The General Labor will be responsible for performing miscellaneous labor functions throughout the Mill. This role is located in Montpelier, OH and will be fully on-site. 

 

Starting Pay: 23.11

Schedule: 3pm - 11pm, training may take place on 1st or 3rd shift at beginning of hire date

Pay Schedule: Weekly

Responsibilities

General Labor Responsibilities:

  • Instructed by supervisor on each task
  • Tasks may include those similar to:
    • General housekeeping tasks - clean any area of Mill
    • Chopping scrap
    • Handle solid scrap
  • Operates forklift to transport oil and trash to designated locations
  • Moves scrap to and from various locations
  • Maintains equipment and performs duties in a clean and orderly condition
  • Other duties as assigned

General Labor Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
  • Minimum one-year manufacturing experience preferred

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand (up to 100% of the time).  The employee frequently is required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects.  The employee is regularly required to walk and climb stairs; reach with hands and arms, stoop or crawl, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, push and pull, talk and must be able to hear.
    • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds repetitively and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to extreme temperatures and certain contaminants and must wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, lasses, gloves, hearing protection, protective clothing, hard hats and respiratory protection such as respirators, (whether negative pressure, positive pressure, supplied air or SCBA). The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock
    • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud.
