About the Role
The Location Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, operational performance, and day-to-day management of the funeral home. This role oversees staff, facilities, financial stewardship, regulatory compliance, and service execution while also serving families as a licensed Funeral Director.Â
Working in partnership with regional leadership, the Location Manager ensures the funeral home operates efficiently, upholds Milestone's standards of excellence, and delivers a consistently positive experience for every family served.
Current & active state licensure is required. Evening, weekend, holiday, and on-call responsibilities may be required.
What You'll Do
Managerial Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the funeral home, ensuring exceptional service, professionalism, and operational excellence
- Supervise, coach, and support location staff while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture
- Coordinate scheduling and operational workflows to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations, safety standards, and company policies
- Partner with regional leadership to achieve operational, financial, and customer service objectives
Funeral Director Responsibilities
- Guide families through funeral and cremation arrangements with compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail
- Coordinate all aspects of funeral services, working closely with families, clergy, cemeteries, and other service providers
- Direct and oversee funeral and memorial services, ensuring every detail is executed with care and excellence
- Complete required documentation and ensure all arrangements comply with applicable regulations
- Perform embalming and other preparation duties, if licensed and as needed
What You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in funeral service, hospitality, healthcare, or related field with at least 1 year in a leadership or management role
- Active Funeral Director License as required by state regulationsÂ
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
- Strong knowledge of funeral service operations and applicable regulatory requirements
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
