Job DetailsJob Location: WCMHS - Montpelier, VT 05601Salary Range: $22.82 - $23.75 HourlyJob Shift: DayJob Category: FacilitiesMaintenance Technician   Washington County Mental Health Services seeks a Maintenance Technician to support agency properties. Complete scheduled maintenance work, respond to help desk tickets, and respond to emergency work as assigned to support the agency's delivery of services in our area. This critical support role helps us operate at our best in facilities ranging from licensed residential facilities to school settings and offices. Summary of Duties • Maintenance includes: painting; carpentry; plumbing; electrical work (wiring & re-wiring); roofing; vinyl and wood sidings and trims and replacement/repair of broken windows and doors; maintenance of flooring (installation and maintenance of all types); knowledge of sprinkler systems, heating systems, fire panel systems and internal alarm systems. • Assist as backup for Janitorial and Housekeeping. QualificationsSummary of Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Must possess a clean driving record. Experience: Must be well versed in the following areas: plumbing and heating (min. 2 years of self-directed, independent work experience); carpentry at all levels (min. 1 year); electrical (min. 3 years); roofing (min 2 years); excellent knowledge of drafting and engineering skills, as well as the ability to read and translate blueprints. Appliance and furnace repair knowledge and experience a plus; Must have a minimum of one year past experience in flooring, painting, vinyl and wood sidings and trim. Workplace Conditions Work takes place in a variety of settings including offices, schools, and residential facilities throughout the agency's buildings in Barre, Montpelier, Berlin, and Waterbury.
