Position Summary:
This position is responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service as per company standards as well as processing sales quickly, accurately and efficiently. A Crew Member is required to be a bright, sincere, engaging, and energetic individual with a passion for exceptional customer service above and beyond that of other restaurants. The Crew Member must also possess the ability to maintain order and provide high quality food quickly.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:
- Ensures that each guest receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining outstanding standards, exemplary product knowledge and all other aspects of guest service
- Processes POS transactions accurately and adheres to proper cash handling procedures
- Maintains cleanliness of floors, tables, counters, and restrooms at all times
- Responds appropriately to guest concerns and communicates to management
- Slices product and prepares recipe according to Jersey Mike’s standards
- Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job
- Abides by the established Jersey Mike’s uniform and grooming standards
- Answers phones according to standards
- Maintains an awareness of all menu items
- Adheres to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Cleans and maintain kitchen appliances such as, but not limited to, griddles and slicers
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Additional duties as assigned
Minimum Education and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Competencies:Â Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:
            Â
- Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation and process payment transactions
- Ability to use knives, slicing equipment and other food preparation equipment safely
- Ability to respond in emergency situations to avoid imminent dangers to self and others
- Ability to read and follow recipes in the manner in which they are written
Training Requirements:
- Fire and Safety training
- SMART alcohol awareness
- Successful completion of Jersey Mike’s portal training
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Must be able to work in a casino environment with possible exposure to secondhand smoke
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
