Summary of Job Description:Â
Incumbent develops, edits, publishes and maintains content for multiple Tribally owned and operated websites, email communications, and other digital platforms (as needed). This position works closely with multiple departments and committees to ensure timely, accurate and engaging information is shared with key audiences which can include, but are not limited to Tribal members, employees, and the public. Key responsibilities include content writing and editing, email campaign development, and website content management. Incumbent needs to think strategically and juggle multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining consistent messaging and voice across all online channels. Â
Minimum Requirements:
 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to speak persuasively and handle difficult situations required
- Strict proofreading skills required
- Proficiency in Content Management Systems (Sitefinity, WordPress, etc.) and professional email marketing software (Constant Contact, MailChimp, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience with InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office, or other comparable software applicationsÂ
- Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills; ability to analyze data, generate creative ideas, evaluate solutions, and identify resulting consequences
- Ability to interact well with all levels of management, both internally and externallyÂ
Experience, Education and Training:
- Bachelor’s Degree in communications, marketing or a closely related fieldÂ
- Minimum of 3 years of proven, professional experience in digital marketing including content strategy, writing, and publishing for digital channels. Candidates must have experience authoring original content; experience limited to design, formatting, or visual production alone does not satisfy this requirementÂ
Additional Requirement:
- Must maintain a flexible work schedule including work assignments on nights and weekends
- This position is primarily an in-person position based out of Uncasville, CT
- No felony convictions or misdemeanors involving moral turpitude or issues or integrity
