Provides technology and departmental support for processes and procedures and makes recommendations concerning Business Development Solutions (BDS) owned areas of Contractor Driver Administration and Settlement (CDAS).

Essential Functions

  • Assists with contracted service provider agreements and the associated processes and procedures within the department, giving direction and guidance to other departments on both the agreement and system related concerns or issues.
  • Maintains BDS systems, databases and programs. This includes ensuring all templates are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Supports BDS department technology projects, system updates, enhancements and implementations from inception to completion; acts as the liaison with Information Technology department to ensure system compliance.
  • Develops and documents epics and features through stakeholder and system impact analysis for CDAS and department systems related to contracted service providers; completes Portfolio Program Management (PPMs) to support business needs.
  • Participates in the development, documentation, implementation and communication of system test plans to ensure completion and understanding of procedure, process, or system changes.
  • Runs, analyzes, and distributes queries, reports, and updates to senior management, including officers, on projects within the defined scope of responsibility.
  • Provides strategic recommendations concerning IT systems planning, future business/operation concepts, development of systems, training, and/or implementation.
  • Resolves and/or escalates procedural help tickets as appropriate; follows up on outstanding issues to ensure resolution within appropriate timeframes.
  • Develops presentations, technical guides and communication materials to employees, management and/or contracted service providers to assist implementation and ongoing support of new or changing systems, processes and/or procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The preferred location for this hybrid position is Pittsburgh, PA. However, we will consider candidates based elsewhere within the United States (excluding Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories). Candidates residing within 50 miles of a FedEx campus will be required to work on-site at a FedEx location several times per week.


Minimum Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology (IT) or related field required or equivalent.

Minimum Experience

Two (2) years’ experience required in business administration, database administration, queries, process/systems engineering or related area required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong Microsoft Office knowledge and skills especially Excel and web-based applications required.

  • Knowledge of database systems such as PeopleSoft /CDAS required.

  • Demonstrated customer service skills and follow-through in resolving issues and/or questions .

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Strong time management, organizational verbal and written communication skills.

  • Presentation skills necessary to facilitate training and/or deliver informational sessions to groups and/or individuals.

  • Ability to anticipate and identify problems and use sound judgment and fact-based analysis to develop effective and efficient solutions.

  • Ability to act as a knowledge resource to other employees.
