SUMMARY OF POSITION
Responsible for distributing customer orders for all Peterson “street” business in an accurate, timely, and safe manner.Â

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Outbound Logistics Operations
- Execute daily outbound shipping processes, including carrier coordination, load planning, documentation, and shipment scheduling.
- Support DSD route management and paid freight operations, including driver dispatching, route adherence, and performance tracking.
- Monitor and support transportation cost control initiatives whilemaintaininghigh on-time delivery.
- Ensureaccurateandtimelyhandoffs between Fulfillment, Inbound, and Logistics teams for proper load accuracy and documentation.
Compliance & Safety
- Support full compliance with DOT, safety, and customer delivery requirements.
- Promote and enforce safety standards, vehicle maintenance checks, and regulatory adherence across all outbound activities.
- Conduct daily safety observations, housekeeping audits (5S), and help address any compliance or incident-related issues.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with Fulfillment, Inbound, and QA teams to resolve operational issues and improve end-to-end flow.
- Support data tracking, reporting, and implementation of process improvements and load efficiency.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English in both written and verbal medium.
- Strong mathematical ability to perform basic math functions.
- Demonstrated customer service skills including the ability to resolve and deal with conflict in a calm, positive manner; ability to communicate and interact with a diverse range of customers; ability to problem solve; and ability to establish and maintain rapport with customers.
- Prior experience and strong understanding of commercial driving and delivery required. Â Commercial Driving License (CDL) in applicable class (A or B) preferred. Â Demonstrated safe driving record and drug/alcohol free.
- Prior experience and/or knowledge of warehouse/distribution operations.Â
- Ability to learn and read detailed paperwork, product codes, and manage a large volume of information at the same time.Â
- While sedentary in driving, this position is highly physical at each customer stop involving constant standing, bending, walking, moving product, etc. Â Frequently operates in a warehouse temperature environment and outdoor elements when transporting product from truck to customer location.
- Utilizes fingers, hands, wrists, and arms constantly to load, unload, stocking and driving.Â
- Frequent lifting of product ranging from 2 lbs. to 80 lbs. Consistent use of hand truck to move product up/down ramps, tight spaces and other areas that can range from 50 to 300 lbs.
