JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
Responsible for leading the consumer and commercial loan processing function to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant loan boarding and maintenance. This role manages daily processing workflows, develops a high‑performing team, and serves as a subject matter expert and escalation point to support consistent execution, strong file quality, and effective coordination with lending and operational partners.

•   Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing loan processing team, establishing clear expectations, accountability, and performance standards
•   Oversee day‑to‑day loan processing, boarding, and maintenance activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance
•   Manage processing pipelines and workflow capacity to improve throughput, predictability, and on‑time loan boarding
•   Serve as an escalation point and subject matter resource for complex processing issues and documentation questions
•   Partner with lending, loan operations, quality control, and other stakeholders to improve end‑to‑end loan execution and handoffs
•   Monitor processing quality, backlog volume, and aging; implement corrective actions as needed
•   Drive continuous improvement of tools, procedures, and controls to enhance consistency, documentation quality, and audit readiness
Other DutiesÂ
•   Participate in system enhancements, workflow design, and operational change initiatives
•   Support audit, exam, and internal review requests related to loan processing and boarding
•   Assist with reporting, metrics development, and management updates related to processing performance
•   Other duties as assigned
Skills/Abilities
•   Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
•   High attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization skills
•   Effective written and verbal communication skills across cross functional teams
•   Ability to analyze workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement practical process improvements
•   Strong working knowledge of accounting and reconciliation processes
•   Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with core banking and loan processing systems preferred

This position has supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in an office setting, the opportunity to telework is not available. Â This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Â Office environment with job duties conducted via telephone, face to face meetings, and on the computer. Â
Physical Demands
This position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and open cabinets. Â This position requires bending, stooping or standing as necessary.Â
Travel
Limited local travel may be required for this position.
Education and Experience
•   Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent banking experience
•   Demonstrated success in a senior level loan processing role within a bank, with increasing responsibility and complexity
•   2+ years of experience in loan processing or a related role.
•   Thorough understanding of loan processing workflows, documentation standards, and loan boarding requirements
•   Proven experience leading a high volume processing or workflow based team
•   Prior supervisory experience managing a loan processing team at a bank is preferred
