Position Summary
The Legal Assistant provides administrative and coordination support to the Legal Department, assisting with patent portfolio activities, calendar management, and general legal operations. This role supports the execution of established processes and ensures accurate documentation and timely follow-through on assigned tasks.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, dependable, and motivated to grow within a structured legal environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with tracking patent filings, maintenance deadlines, and renewal dates
- Maintain accurate records within docketing and document management systems
- Support preparation of documentation for patent submissions and related filings
- Coordinate meetings and manage scheduling logistics
- Draft, format, and proofread routine legal correspondence and documents
- Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems
- Provide general administrative support to the Legal team as needed
- Assist in maintaining tracking spreadsheets and reporting tools
- Other duties as assignedÂ
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in an administrative or legal support role
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and document management systems
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with supervision
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Professional demeanor and ability to handle confidential information
- Motivated and willing to learn legal processes and systems
Salary Range:
- $45,000-55,000/yr, depending on experience
