ASRC Federal Mission Solutions is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems. We are currently seeking a Senior Manager, Solutions Architecture to join our team in Moorestown, NJ.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Designs and defines system architecture and solutions for integrating multiple platforms, operating systems, cloud and applications
  • Determines systems specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software/cloud compatibility and maintenance of system security
  • Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system
  • Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies
  • Develops and documents the framework for integration and implementation for changes to technical standards and overall enterprise architecture
  • Assists in the development and management of an architecture governance process
  • Develops and recommends corrective actions and system solutions
  • Provides technical guidance for database administrators, software developers, and other stakeholders
  • Understands and determines requirements of infrastructure, network, and security in third party cloud offerings
  • Translates business requirements into functional and technical architecture
  • May guide decisions on which technologies to implement, operational planning and useful life of products

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 8-10 years of experience or equivalent
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance, U.S. Citizenship is required
  • This position requires the successful applicant to obtain and maintain the required security clearance or other authorization(s) within the necessary timeframe required by applicable contract(s)
  • Requires broad management knowledge to lead project teams in one department
  • Has mastery level knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with broad understanding of other areas within the job function
  • Establishes or works to implement key elements of tactical and operational plans with measurable contribution towards the achievement of results of the sub-function or completion of a project
  • Makes significant decisions on what their team of responsibility focuses on or executes as directed
  • Focus is on short-to mid-term operational plans (e.g., 1-2 years)
  • Develops new products, processes, standards or operational plans in support of the job function strategy
  • May have budget or P&L accountability for area of responsibility, or manage resources or elements of the budget
  • Responsible for making moderate to significant improvements of processes, systems or products to enhance performance of job area or demonstrates technical innovation in supporting business objectives
  • Problems and issues faced are numerous and typically undefined, and require detailed information gathering, analysis and investigation to understand the problem
  • Problems are difficult and moderately complex
  • Problems may impact multiple departments or specialties
  • Problems are solved through drawing from prior experience and analysis of issues
  • Communicates with parties within and outside of own job function, which may include external customers or vendors depending upon the job function
  • Requires the ability to influence others outside of job area on policies, practices and procedures
  • Manages a large team or multiple smaller teams typically comprised of other managers and/or supervisors and experienced professionals

  • Ability to Ideate cross disciplinary approaches and solutions in collaborative and individual environments
  • Ability to Develop innovative solutions to meet emerging and lightly defined requirements. 
  • Ability to identify, scope and execute internal research and development projects that will support the growth of new business for the organization
  • Ability to identify, scope and execute internal research and development projects that will reduce the of cost and/or provide efficiencies for current organizational programs and/or projects
  • Manage technical teams of 2 -16 individuals to achieve defined project goals on time and on/under budget
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring  and guidance to team members and direct reports
  • Lead technical portions of business capture efforts
  • Support technical portions of business capture, strategy and development
  • Develop and execute technology roadmaps in line with business growth strategies
