Goldbug Manufacturing is looking to add an experienced CMM Programmer to work closely with our engineering and manufacturing team to analyze blueprints and design documents to properly inspect components. The team works on prototypes as well as production level products with a variety of tolerances. The experienced professional in this role will bring expertise and technical understanding to help efficiently and effectively check tolerances on aerospace and defense products.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures machined parts conform to drawing specifications at all stages of production
  • Uses source material to develop testing plans and programs for new and existing products
  • Provides plan and instruction to CNC operators, fabricators, and assembly techs for any necessary in-process inspections
  • Documents inspection results, generates AS9100D FAIRs, and supports the procedures set forth in the quality management system
  • Ensures that calibrated item status is valid on all tools to be used for inspections

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be a US Citizen
  • High School Diploma and at least 10 years of relevant experience in a quality role
  • Demonstrated ability to program (and operate) a bridge CMM and a CMM arm.
  • Experience working with mechanical inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, depth gages, etc.
  • Ability to interpret manufacturing drawings to develop efficient testing programs, including an advanced understanding of GD&T
  • Proficiency in the use of PC-DMIS software is a plus.
  • Capable of generating AS9100 FAIRs and general understanding of quality requirements for aerospace components
