Position Overview:
The Tool Prep & Reconditioning Technician will finish innovative composite parts and be a part of a team of people whose goal is to produce high quality parts that exceed our customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manually prep and recondition tools and fixtures to the highest quality standards
- Ensure best practices and SOPs are followed at all times
- Adequately prepare various tool substrates by filling or sanding to specified surface requirements
- Provide TP&R Lead updates on tool status and progress
- Communicate any issues that are noticed that are outside of the provided scope of work
- Promote a positive work environment by welcoming unexpected schedule changes
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Must adhere to health and safety procedures, and all workplace policies
- Perform other duties as assigned
What You Will Bring to the Team:
- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required
- Must be able to pass required respirator fit testing and remain clean-shaven in areas where a tight-fitting respirator seals to the face, in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Must be able to wear a tight-fitting respirator for the duration of the assigned shift, as required by the position.Â
- Successfully complete all applicable respiratory protection requirements, including a medical evaluation and respirator fit testing.Â
- Complete annual fit testing, with additional medical evaluations as required.
- Ability to use small hand tools, sanders, drills, manual routers, adhesive applicators, calipers, gauges, and other measuring devices
- Ability to read and interpret operating instructions, maintenance instructions, engineering drawings, and procedure manuals
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, quality, and applying feedback
- Ability to follow safety requirements, identify hazards, and support productivity and process improvements
- Strong communication, active listening, and teamwork skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, adapt to changing production schedules, and meet deadlines
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident in compliance with ITAR regulations

Hours of Operation:Â
7:00 AM – 4:00PM Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends, overtime, and holidays as scheduled by leadership.

- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, or sitting
- Climbing, balancing, bending, reaching, handling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, or pulling
- Lifting, carrying, pushing, or moving materials, products, tools, or equipment
- Using computers, machinery, material-handling equipment, hand tools, power tools, or other job-related equipment
- Performing work that requires hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and the handling of small parts or components
- Working around moving mechanical equipment and in areas with varying noise levels, temperatures, fumes, airborne particles, dust, chemicals, or other manufacturing-related conditions
- Wearing required personal protective equipment, which may include safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, protective footwear, respirators, or other designated PPE
- Using close, distance, peripheral, and depth vision, color recognition, and the ability to adjust focus when required by the position
