Position Overview:

The Human Resource Manager plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resource (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organizations mission and talent strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervisory Responsibilities (20%):

  • Oversees and assigns the daily workflow of the HR department
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
  • Oversees discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy

Duties/Responsibilities (80%):

  • Collaborates with senior leadership to understand and develop the organizations goals and strategies related to staffing, recruiting, and retention
  • Coach and advise teams on best practices and foster deep relationship to cultivate trust
  • Employee Relations: Maintaining positive relationships with employees 
  • Working closely with management to improve work relationships and morale
  • Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s compliance and strategy needs
  • Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; management and leadership training; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development
  • Develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management
  • Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organizations human resource payroll system
  • Monitors and ensures the organizations compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management
  • Create standard operating procedures (SOPs) and processes to streamline work flow
  • Facilitates professional development and training activities for HR staff
  • Research, develop and manage relationships with benefit providers; monitor and report ongoing relationship value for the organization; provide feedback to Senior Management Team on opportunities for further value add options for the company
  • Performs other duties as required/assigned 
  • Must adhere to health and safety procedures, and all workplace policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Will Bring to the Team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years in human resources 
  • Exceptional communication skills, writing skills, interpersonal skills, and ethical mindset
  • Adept to problem-solving and conflict resolution
  • Extensive knowledge of HR policies and systems
  • Familiarity with HR software and working knowledge of MS Office
  • Experience working in HR
  • Detail-oriented and organizational nature
  • Understanding federal HR laws
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident in compliance with ITAR regulations.

Hours of Operation:

8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends, overtime, and holidays as scheduled by leadership. This position is required to work on-site during scheduled business hours. Any exceptions for remote or work-from-home arrangements must be reviewed and approved in advance by the employee’s manager.

  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, or sitting
  • Climbing, balancing, bending, reaching, handling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, or pulling
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, or moving materials, products, tools, or equipment
  • Using computers, machinery, material-handling equipment, hand tools, power tools, or other job-related equipment
  • Performing work that requires hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and the handling of small parts or components
  • Working around moving mechanical equipment and in areas with varying noise levels, temperatures, fumes, airborne particles, dust, chemicals, or other manufacturing-related conditions
  • Wearing required personal protective equipment, which may include safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, protective footwear, respirators, or other designated PPE
  • Using close, distance, peripheral, and depth vision, color recognition, and the ability to adjust focus when required by the position
