Roush Yates Manufacturing Solutions is a precision CNC parts manufacturing organization with expertise in multi-axis machining of metal parts with complex geometries. We produce machined parts for the automotive, aerospace, military, and industrial industries.

What does a Quality Control Technician Weekend Shift do?

You will be on the front lines of ensuring our products meet the highest industry standards. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough inspections using manual, visual, and attribute methods, while expertly recording data and generating Non-Conformance reports to communicate findings to relevant parties. You'll maintain part integrity and safety during inspections, all while mentoring fellow Quality Technicians in best practices and dimensional verification. You'll operate critical equipment like CMMs, Vision systems, and Form tracers, performing data reviews on collected DCC data and pulling relevant defect tracking and dimensional reports from our database.

Collaborating with our team will be essential to addressing quality issues and developing effective inspection procedures. Additionally, you'll ensure that all gauges used in the inspection process are properly verified, maintained, and calibrated, contributing to our commitment to excellence and safety in manufacturing.

Are you a good fit?

To excel in this role, candidates must possess a diverse skill set and extensive experience in quality control within the manufacturing realm. A minimum of 5 years in Quality Control and 5 years of running CMMs using PC-Dmis or Calypso software. Familiarity with common inspection methods, PPAPs, and FAIRs will greatly enhance your effectiveness in this role.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word. Experience with Microsoft Access preferred.
  • 5+ years' experience in Quality Control
  • 5+ years' experience in Running CMMs (Zeiss and/or Hexagon)
  • Familiarity with common inspection methods.
  • Experience with PPAPs and FAIRs.
  • Certificate, Associate's degree, or equivalent work experience in manufacturing or related technical field.
  • In depth understanding of GD&T.
  • Working knowledge of different types of gaging and measurement methods.
  • Ability to communicate findings with quality teammates and production staff.
  • Working knowledge of ISO/AS and Calibration requirements.
  • For ITAR compliance, all employees at this location must be a US citizen or a lawful permanent resident.
