Location: Recovering Hope Treatment Center - Mora, MN
Position Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Pay: $25.00+ per hour (depending on experience)
Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the mechanical and structural systems of the facility. This role ensures that buildings remain safe, functional, and well-maintained by responding promptly to maintenance requests and performing preventative upkeep.

Primary Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on structural and mechanical systemsÂ
- Complete minor repairs in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems (e.g., toilet clogs, washers/dryers, furniture)Â
- Set up and move office furniture, including desks, tables, and chairsÂ
- Inspect and repair electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire alarm, and other building systemsÂ
- Perform general carpentry work, including framing, drywall, and paintingÂ
- Maintain grounds, including snow removalÂ
- Clean and maintain common areasÂ
- Maintain and care for mechanical tools and equipmentÂ
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance as neededÂ
- Respond to work orders in a timely mannerÂ
- Collaborate with team members across departments to support facility needsÂ
- Assist with building remodels and updatesÂ
- Coordinate and work with outside vendors on maintenance-related projects

General Duties
- Support overall facility operations as part of the teamÂ
- Assist with housekeeping, kitchen duties, and light maintenance as neededÂ
- Perform other duties as assignedÂ

Authority
The Maintenance Technician is authorized to carry out all responsibilities in accordance with company policies and procedures. Situations outside of standard policies should be referred to the Operations Manager.

Requirements

Qualifications
- Valid driver’s licenseÂ
- High school diploma or GEDÂ
- Experience with general carpentry (framing, drywall, painting, doors, etc.)Â
- Working knowledge of plumbing systemsÂ
- Working knowledge of electrical systems (outlets, switches, light fixtures)Â
- HVAC certification preferredÂ
- Strong time management skillsÂ
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, clients, and others, both verbally and in writingÂ
- Frequently lift up to 50 lbs from floor to shoulder heightÂ
- Regularly crouch, bend, and stoop to perform cleaning and maintenance tasksÂ
- Frequently use hands to grasp tools and cleaning equipment (mops, brooms, etc.)Â
- Push and pull up to 15 lbs while performing tasks such as vacuumingÂ
- Ability to reach overhead storage areasÂ
- Stand for extended periods throughout the workday
