The Staff Pad is hiring an Inpatient Services Director to join the leadership team at a leading hospital in Las Vegas, New Mexico. This role is ideal for an experienced nurse leader who is passionate about driving operational excellence, ensuring quality patient care, and fostering a collaborative work environment.


Position Overview

The Inpatient Services Director provides leadership and direction for the daily operations of inpatient services departments, including Med/Surg and Telemetry. This leader will oversee program design, development, implementation, and quality initiatives to ensure regulatory compliance, high performance, and alignment with organizational objectives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations of Med/Surg and Telemetry departments with a focus on quality, patient safety, and staff engagement.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive clinical programs and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.

  • Support strategic planning and operational objectives.

  • Manage departmental budgets, including cost forecasting and financial impact of services and initiatives.

  • Provide leadership in staff development, mentorship, and performance management.


Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited BSN program; MSN preferred, or equivalent education/experience combination.

  • 10+ years of clinical experience with at least 5 years in management.

  • Current RN license in New Mexico or Compact License.

  • Active certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS required; TNCC preferred.

  • Strong background in healthcare management, staff development, and quality initiatives.

  • Demonstrated ability to design innovative educational programming and effectively communicate across diverse groups.

  • Skilled in analyzing and addressing social and political trends that impact healthcare and patient education.
