Position Summary:

Reporting to the Nursing Assistant Director, this position utilizes the nursing process and organizational/leadership skills to coordinate services of staff to patients during the designated shift. Assures patient care is appropriate to the age and developmental level of patients served. Assesses staff need for the unit, collaborates with the staffing coordinator, Nursing Assistant Director, and Administrative Nursing Supervisor to ensure patients needs are met.

1. Demonstrates responsible role in noise reduction efforts in the department.
2. Assists in maintaining traffic control in the department.
3. Completes .edu's and other required hospital education by the due date.
4. Adheres to SRRMC Behavior Standards.
5. Complies with San Ramon Regional Medical Center Policies/Procedures protecting patient information and the confidentiality of the information in accordance with the Federal and State regulations.

Position Qualifications:

Minimum Education:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred

Minimum Experience/Skills:
  • Minimum of three (3) years of full-time recent experience or its equivalent as a Registered Nurse in an acute care hospital ED Department with one (1) year of which was in the capacity of a Charge Nurse or Head Nurse or other supervisory/leadership role.

Licenses/Certificates/Credentials:
  • Must possess and maintain throughout the duration of employment:
  • Current California RN license
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Provider issued by the American Heart Association
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association
  • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or ENPC Certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Current CPI card - Nonviolent Crises Intervention Training
  • CEN certification preferred
