Safety Business Partner

The Safety Business Partner is expected to establish and meet company objectives in the areas of health, safety, and regulatory compliance while exhibiting excellent leadership as the distribution center's subject matter expert on health and safety related matters. This position is instrumental in reducing team member exposure to work related injuries and motor vehicle accidents. The Safety Business Partner is expected to uphold and comply with all company policies, safety programs, and regulatory compliance standards.

Essential Job Function

• Build strong working relationships with Distribution Center leadership while building and maintaining a strong safety culture.
• Actively participates in new hire safety orientation and safety training and education.
• Ensures safety objectives and initiatives by conducting and documenting job safety analysis information and facility audits.
• Drive team to meet company objectives in the areas of safety performance and compliance.
• Leads facility safety committee meetings.
• Conducts weekly and monthly safety audit and assessments.

Skill and Qualification

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in EHS programs/regulatory compliance
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
• Ability to form, lead, motivate and direct an effective team
• Strong public speaking/presentation skills
• Innovative problem solver with the ability to take initiative
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA and state regulations
