Merchandise Handler

Merchandise Handlers are a vital part of our Pick & Pack Department, which includes the decorative items carried by Floor & Decor. Key responsibilities include picking orders from multi-level racks using a cherry picker, counterbalance, and reach truck, putting away product, and staging orders for shipment. The role requires one to three years of recent work experience and experience operating order picker/cherry picker, counterbalance, and reach truck. Excellent communication skills in English, customer service skills, and basic math ability are required. Essential functions include accurately picking product, staging, loading and unloading shipments safely, stacking and storing merchandise, transporting product, preparing product for shipment, labeling pallets, handling merchandise for picking and put away, operating equipment safely, complying with OSHA and MSDS standards, performing minor maintenance on equipment, maintaining clean warehouse and loading areas, participating in training, and following safety procedures. The job is physical, requiring exertion of 20-60 pounds of force frequently, and involves exposure to warehouse environment and moving vehicles.
