About the Role:

As a Cook II at Nueva Vista Morgan Hill, you will play a vital role in providing nutritious and appealing meals to our residents, ensuring their dietary needs are met with care and precision. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare and cook a variety of meals, adhering to established recipes and dietary guidelines. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, which is essential for food safety and quality. Collaboration with dietary staff and other kitchen personnel will be crucial to ensure that all meals are served on time and meet the highest standards. Ultimately, your contributions will enhance the overall dining experience for our residents, promoting their health and well-being.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a cooking or food preparation role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Culinary degree or certification from an accredited institution.
  • Experience with special dietary needs and menu planning.
  • ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety training.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary requirements.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in a safe and sanitary manner, following health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in menu planning and inventory management, including ordering and receiving food supplies.
