Description

Lin Engineering is looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Document Control Specialist to oversee, organize, and maintain company records. This position ensures documents are precise, stored correctly, and readily available, all while complying with company policies and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will be a proactive self-starter who thrives both independently and in team settings. Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills with supervisors and team members are crucial. Applicants should have experience using tools such as SAP, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Excel. The capability to interpret drafts, Bills of Materials (BOM), and technical instructions is required. This full-time role is in-office.


Key Responsibilities

• Collecting, scanning, and uploading documents according to established procedures.

• Ensuring technical documents—like reports, drawings, and prints—are accurately collected, recorded, and stored within the system.

• Maintaining documentation via the ECN database and document management systems in support of daily operations, maintenance, and information quality control.

• Notifying relevant staff when document versions are updated and issuing instructions for accessing new versions.

• Printing and distributing documents as needed.

• Working with various departments, including marketing and production, to ensure accurate record management and maintenance.

• Supporting all departments by responding to questions and operational needs related to SAP.

• Collaborating cross-functionally with teams such as engineering, production, and operations to keep SAP information and documentation up to date.

• Assisting in upholding the company’s quality management system by ensuring controlled documents are current, properly approved, and meet internal procedures and standards.


Required Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree and typically five years of data experience are required.

• Proficiency with SAP, MS Office (including Outlook, Word, and Excel), and the Adobe Acrobat suite is expected.
