Position Responsibilities: |
- Use schedule to pull cases on buggies into work area. Read tickets and/or job notes prior to packing for any special instructions
- Push case on buggy into work area.
- Look over case for any defects.
- Use sandpaper/steel wool as necessary to eliminate any rough areas
- Do any minor touch up as needed.
- Apply wax to entire piece. Â Â
- Pull drawers and sand and wax inside and out.
- Perform all duties safely and report any safety hazards to your immediate supervisor; including proper lifting techniques.
- Complete other assigned duties as directed by supervisor.
- Maintains neat and orderly work station; keeps equipment clean.
- Wear required safety glasses and work shoes; works safely and reports unsafe conditions to Dept. Supervisor. Also performs required stretching exercises.
- Performs other duties as required by supervisor.

Essential Skills and Experience: |
- Must be knowledgeable in case fitting processes.
- Must have ability to learn quickly and recognize parts and style numbers.
- Understand correct placement of parts, right / left sides, front / back.
- English required for reading tickets and instructions.
- Must be able to check finish of case to finish standards.
- Must be able to understand and follow packing specifications.

- Previous knowledge of furniture.

Physical demands and work environment: |
- Lift / Carry: Must be able to lift/remove and flip over pieces for cartoning.
- Standing / Walking:Â Must be able to stand and walk consistently during the 8+ hour day.

- Reach / Handle / Grasp/Feel: Repetitive use of hands required. Must be able to use drills, screwdrivers, staple guns throughout the day.
- Bend / Lift / Stoop:Â Gathering supplies throughout day from various heights.
- Push/Pull: Â Must be able to push buggies into and off lift at workstation.
- Environment:Â Indoors, controlled airflow, no air conditioning.
- Climbing:  Must be able to climb up/down ladders between 2 – 8 feet tall using 3 point contact method to reach various heights requiring sanding or waxing.
- Tool Usage: Â Â Required to use glue gun, staple gun, rubber mallet, hammer, screw driver, channel locks, adjustable wrenches, and other tools for entire shift. Â
- Automation:Â Provided scissor lift for positioning in some booths.
- Color Determination:Â Must distinguish colors and finishes for match, accuracy and quality.
- Near Acuity: Requires close vision of less than 3 feet, with or without corrective lenses, for precision.
