Job Summary

The Staff Pad has partnered with Blue Ridge Medical Center to seek a dedicated Phlebotomist to join their team. This role is responsible for performing safe, accurate specimen collection for patients of all ages while ensuring proper documentation, labeling, and transport of samples. The Phlebotomist plays a key role in supporting timely diagnostic testing and delivering a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture and specimen collection on patients of all ages in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner

  • Document specimen collection and test orders using the laboratory information system

  • Ensure proper labeling and acceptance of samples prior to transport to testing areas

  • Provide clear and thorough specimen collection instructions to patients

  • Collaborate with clinical and laboratory staff to support high-quality patient care

  • Demonstrate flexibility to adapt to workflow changes and varying work locations

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred

  • Prior experience as a clinical phlebotomist preferred

  • Training from an accredited phlebotomy program preferred

  • College coursework in anatomy, medical technology, or patient care is a plus

  • Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification preferred
