Position: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Setting: Inpatient Acute Care
Location: HealthWorks Rehab & Fitness at MonHealth (MHMC) in Morgantown, WV
HealthWorks Rehab & Fitness in Morgantown, WV, has been Mon Health's inpatient rehabilitation provider for more than 25 years. This 189-bed inpatient hospital is seeking local PRN or per diem certified occupational therapy assistants (COTA) for as-needed daytime coverage. Our hospital is open daily, except for Christmas.
We have a large, multidisciplinary clinical team in need of coverage for vacations, sick days, census influxes, or emergencies. There is no set schedule for PRN/per diem. We are looking to build a local per diem pool of inpatient experienced occupational therapy assistants. At least one year of acute care experience is preferred.

Position Summary
Under the direction of the OT and/or Director, assists with initial patient evaluations and implements and executes treatment plans in accordance with the patient’s needs and the physician's direction. Actively assisting as an educator of patients, families, students, co-workers, and self. Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline-specific therapy services, and design of program delivery.

Responsibilities
- Detail-Oriented: Observe, note and report on the progress of long and short-term treatment goals and ensure proper documentation of patient care.
- Education: Teach patients new ways of approaching tasks and how to break down activities into achievable components.
- High Standard of Care: Maintain professional standards through compliance with quality assurance policies/procedures and applicable regulations and corporate policies
- Personalized Treatment: Under the direction of a licensed occupational therapist, optimize patients’ functional abilities and skills.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an ACOTA accredited occupational therapy assistant (OTA) program
- State COTA license (or license eligible)
- CPR certification
- Valid state driver’s license
