The CRRC is seeking undergraduate and graduate students for the Cyber-Resilience Fellowship program to lead teams of student volunteers and complete real-world cybersecurity and cyber-resilience projects that address the needs of organizations, critical infrastructure, and businesses in West Virginia. The ideal candidate will be a student within a Cybersecurity, Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Cybersecurity Management, Data Analytics, Cyber Forensics, or related STEM field.
Duties and Responsibilities Â
- Lead and manage a team of student volunteers on a real-world cybersecurity project to assist an organization Â
- Coordinate interactions between project partners, students, and faculty to ensure project completion Â
- Facilitate undergraduate and graduate cyber-resilience projects and identify needed resources for project scope and success. Â
- Provide programming and technology support for students, faculty, and staff Â
- Support learning outcomes and the mission of the CRRCÂ
- Attend a project management boot camp at the beginning of each term Â
Requirements
- Must be enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at any WV higher education institution throughout the Fall 2025 semester and preferably the Spring 2026 semester.Â
- Students majoring or minoring in MIS, CS, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Cyber Forensics, or STEM are preferred.Â
- The Cyber-Resilience fellow must be enrolled as a full-time student, who is not on academic notice, and possesses a high academic standing.Â
- Demonstrated project management and leadership skills.Â
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Â
- Experience with technology tools used in information technology, systems administration, cybersecurity, networking, cyber forensics, and data analytics, and programming is preferred. Â
