We are seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Manager / Information Systems Security Officer (ISSM/ISSO) to lead the security and compliance of our classified information systems and support commercial cybersecurity obligations. This role ensures compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and oversees the protection, accreditation, and operation of classified DoD collateral systems.
The ideal candidate is highly detail oriented, operates independently, and is comfortable engaging with senior company leaders, government representatives, customers, and external partners. Â You will work on a hybrid schedule out of our Morris Plains, NJ location.

Key Responsibilities
ISSM/ISSO – Classified Security (Primary Role)
- Ensure compliance with NISP and interpret/implement security requirements.
- Develop and maintain security plans, procedures, and documentation for classified systems.
- Support and administer DoD collateral systems in alignment with DAAG and NIST SP 800 53.
- Conduct audits, assessments, continuous monitoring, and incident response.
- Train employees and oversee proper safeguarding and handling of classified information.
- Serve as a key liaison with government and internal security stakeholders.
- Provide technical governance guidance for security related activities within the commercial technology environment.
- Manage and maintain Assessment & Authorization (A&A) activities within the DoD eMASS platform in compliance with NIST RMF security controls.
Commercial Cybersecurity Compliance
- Lead customer-facing cybersecurity assessments and responses.Â
- Manage third party/vendor cybersecurity reviews and risk assessments.
- Support commercial cybersecurity governance and compliance with industry frameworks.
- Collaborate with legal, procurement, and business teams on external cyber requirements.

Qualifications
- Experience with NISP, DAAG, NIST SP 800 53, and classified system security.
- Hands on experience administering and securing DoD collateral systems.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity governance and risk management.
- Ability to work independently and manage complex, detail-oriented tasks.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
