  • Proactively reviews supplier capabilities, assess operational gaps to identify risks and takes systematic actions to develop a world class supplier.
  • Is globally responsible for all supplier development, quality improvement and sustainment. 
  • Systematically drives Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations to prevent defects.
  • Works directly with sourcing, business, engineering and our customers on strategies to improve product quality and delivery. 
  • Identifies and leads the implementation of continuous improvement projects.
  • Are leaders creating a performance culture with our suppliers through coaching and technical engagement.

We are seeking a skilled Sr Supplier Quality Engineer Data Analyst to join our aerospace supplier quality team to take on the challenge of shaping and advancing our supply chain. A successful candidate will be able to take supplier quality data and turn it into actionable insights for the supplier quality engineers to action; in turn, reducing supplier defects and disruptions to our sites to improve on time delivery to our customers. Collaboration with Quality Engineers, the end user, will be essential to this role on top of demonstrating effective communication skills to senior management, having a big picture strategic mindset, the ability to handle multiple priorities at once, influence, and solve complex problems

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Data Analysis and Insight Generation:

  • Develop, maintain, and automate data pipelines and workflows for SQE using Alteryx (or equivalent ETL tool)
  • Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards (in Tableau, React or Power BI) that transform complex data sets into clear, actionable insights that inform decision-making processes within the supplier quality organization
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality metrics and develop dashboards to monitor these metrics in real-time.
  • Support Ad-hoc analysis and present findings to stakeholders and leadership
  • Deliver presentations and reports that summarize findings, recommendations, and predictive insights to various stakeholders, including senior management

Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:

  • Work closely with quality assurance, engineering, and production teams to understand their needs and incorporate their insights into the visual tools
  • Assist in the development of strategies for continuous improvement based on data insights
  • Coach team members on how to leverage analytics to make decisions
  • Provide training sessions and workshops to enhance the data literacy of team members and promote a culture of data-driven decision-making.

Establishing Strategies and Processes

  • Support the data collection, analysis, and reporting that enhance predictive analytics capabilities.
  • Document processes, methodologies, and analytical techniques, ensuring best practices are followed and knowledge is shared across the organization.
