Expected salary range of $94,500 to $105,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
Primary Purpose of Position
The Security Supervisor is responsible for the efficient and effective daily operation within the site security department, in support of the site's goals and objectives. The Security Supervisor is expected to ensure that safe, continuous, and economical processes and procedures are carried out at all times. The Security Supervisors are expected to provide daily direction, oversight, observations, and coaching of Security Officers to ensure the security force is continuously able to execute the physical security plan for both normal and contingency operations. Additionally, Security Supervisors are involved in the hiring process of Security Officers, including recommending and interviewing candidates, and in the disciplinary process of Security Officers in accordance with procedures. Must obtain First Line Supervisor qualifications no less than 12 months of assuming Security Supervisor position.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
- Directly supervises Security Officers to ensure that all assigned activities are performed safely and effectively by qualified workers in accordance with procedures, policies, regulations, security plans and licensee protective strategy. Review Security Event Report (SER) database reports daily.
- Responsible for and maintains performance goals in the HR system that reflect supervision of officers. Provides performance feedback and recognition through the HR systems, and participates in, recommends, administers, and signs disciplinary actions for officers, including participation in the disciplinary consensus process.
- May serve as the Security Shift Supervisor's designee as needed (job familiarization guide must be completed to run shift), with full authority to direct security organization activities and without additional duties that could interfere with performing these responsibilities in alignment with security plans and the licensee protective strategy.
- Interface with outside agencies (Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Local Law Enforcement Agency (LLEA), Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF), State Police, etc.)
- Corrective Action Program Coordinator (CAPCO) Responsibilities. Review and implement Corrective Actions Program (CAP) procedures. Oversee Passport / Action Tracking process Ensure Issue Reports (IR's) are initiated as appropriate. Track closure of Action Requests (AR's) and Action Tracking Item (ATI's). Conduct Supervisor Review of IRs. Perform reviews for IRs. Perform trend coding for IRs. Perform Common Cause Analysis (CCA's), Apparent Cause Evaluation (ACE's), and Root Cause (RC's)
- Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by higher management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's degree and 2-years security experience OR law enforcement/military background with 2-years security experience OR High School Diploma/GED and 3-years security experience
- Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties and federal regulations
