Driver

Job Description:

The Warehouse Worker/Driver is responsible for supporting daily warehouse, shipping, receiving, and transportation needs at i2Systems. This position will safely transport parts, materials, and finished products between our Morris and Watertown, CT facilities and make scheduled regional deliveries to customers in New York and Massachusetts.

When not making deliveries, this position will work in the warehouse performing material picking, inventory transactions, loading and unloading, material movement, and other shipping and receiving activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport parts, materials, and finished products between the Morris and Watertown facilities and occasionally make scheduled deliveries to customers in New York and Massachusetts.
  • Pick and prepare materials for production orders and shipments.
  • Use counting scales to accurately count and verify material quantities.
  • Complete material and inventory transactions within the company ERP system.
  • Load and unload trucks and properly secure freight to prevent damage during transportation.
  • Operate pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment to move and stage materials.
  • Move palletized materials throughout the warehouse and production areas as needed.
  • Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any safety or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor vehicle maintenance needs and assist with coordinating service appointments.
  • Follow all DOT requirements, traffic laws, company safety procedures, and transportation protocols.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous presence when interacting with customers and vendors.
  • Assist the Production Manager and Shipping/Receiving team with daily priorities and operational needs as required.

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required. Class B CDL preferred.
  • Ability to meet applicable DOT requirements.
  • Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material-handling experience preferred.
  • Commercial driving and regional delivery experience preferred.
  • Experience using ERP or inventory management systems preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate pallet jacks and other applicable material-handling equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately count and track materials.
  • Dependable, safety-focused, and able to work independently.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to regularly lift and carry 50–60 pounds.
  • Ability to push, pull, maneuver, and move palletized materials using appropriate equipment.
  • Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, and perform physical warehouse activities.
  • Ability to safely enter and exit commercial vehicles and perform loading and unloading activities.
