Copley Hospital, located in Morrisville/Stowe VT, is in search of a Nurse Manager to join our team in the Emergency Department! The Nurse Manager is a Registered Nurse who has 24-hour accountability and responsibility for the operation of the nursing unit.

These responsibilities include providing excellent quality in patient care delivery to patients and superior service, in accordance with the Mission of Copley Hospital, through direct management of staff, fostering positive interactions with families/visitors, collaboration with medical staff, maintaining working relationships with other hospital leaders and vendor, while ensuring financial responsibility.

The Nurse Manager is accountable for continuous professional and personal department growth and development by encouraging and providing opportunities for staff to gain expertise through experience and direction. The Nurse Manager possesses excellent interpersonal skills, problem identification, and resolution abilities. The Nurse Manager is responsible for meeting the standards set forth by CMS and other regulatory agencies and the Standards of Nursing Care and Practice. They will serve as an ambassador for Copley Hospital while on and off duty.

The Emergency Department consists of 17 patient rooms, with a centralized nursing station and cares for more than 13,000 patients each year. Our Emergency Department staff are trained to care for all ages of life of all acuity level of injuries and illnesses; focusing on rapid assessment, stabilization, and appropriate treatment, all in a fast-paced environment that requires quick thinking, strong individual clinical skills as well as teamwork, and effective communication skills. In addition, the department is supported by an ED Care Coordinator to support patient’s getting access to additional needs such as referrals to continued healthcare services, connecting patients with access to available food resources and housing for basic needs, and participation in coordination of care for high utilizers, all while maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.

Compensation: $89,000-99,000/year.

The posted salary range reflects compensation for candidates with limited experience. An offer may vary based on factors such as experience, education, skills, internal equity, and market data. An offer of employment may be outside of the posted range based on those factors.

Education Required:
BSN / BS (or currently enrolled in program)

MS / MSN

Experience Required:
3-5 years of current clinical experience; 1-2 years current experience in nursing management;Â Quality Improvement experience, fiscal management experience.
