As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Senior Manager, Forecasting for our Rare Disease team (Intercept subsidiary) reporting into our Vice President, Analytics & Operations.  This is a hybrid position with office days in Morristown, NJ.

Scope of the role:

The Senior Manager, Forecasting will own the inline and pipeline demand forecasting process as part of our Analytics & Operations team.

 

Your key responsibilities:

  • Work in close collaboration with internal stakeholders (Marketing, Market Research, Sales, Financial Planning & Analysis, Commercial Analytics, Market Access, Supply Chain) to gather input on forecast assumptions, drive consensus, and ensure alignment
  • Build and manage a transparent, well-documented, and assumption-driven demand forecast process
  • Track forecast accuracy and drive continuous improvements in forecast models and the forecasting process
  • Communicate frequently with senior leadership and strategic partners to report forecast outputs, key risks, and opportunities to clearly characterize forecast uncertainties and key drivers
  • Support launch activities and develop post-launch performance tracking framework
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses for senior leadership and serve as internal forecasting subject matter expert and resource
  • Understand the legal and compliance environment and drive collaboration with the Legal and Compliance team
  • Ensure forecasting activities, data sources, analyses, and external engagements are conducted in accordance with applicable legal, regulatory, privacy, and company compliance requirements, in partnership with Legal and Compliance.

 

Who are you:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company or relevant experience in biotech/pharma-focused consulting
  • Forecasting experience required; leading launch forecasting initiatives for specialty products preferred
  • Foundational experience in liver disease, rare disease, or oncology a plus
  • Hands-on experience working with patient-level data as well as syndicated data offerings
  • Ability to work onsite in our Morristown, NJ headquarters office 3-4 days per week
  • Flexibility for light travel as needed (5%)
  • Strong project management experience (planning, prioritization, objective setting, meeting management, and plan execution)
  • Advanced proficiency preferred in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI
  • Deep understanding of biotech/pharma market trends, vendors, and best practices
  • Track record of working and delivering on multiple projects simultaneously, with tight deadlines and changing priorities
  • Proven experience communicating complex analyses in a simple and clear manner
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Learning agility and ‘scalability’ to take on increasing responsibility as AlfaSigma Pharmaceuticals grows

Compensation & Benefits:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $170,000- 200,000. This represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position.  Actual salaries may vary based on various factors including, but not limited to, experience, skillset, and performance.
