Senior Web Developer

Location: Morristown, New Jersey

As the sole technical owner of Capsugel.com, you will shape, secure, and evolve a high‑visibility website in a regulated enterprise environment. This is a unique opportunity to lead end‑to‑end development and governance for a mission‑critical digital platform that supports a global pharmaceutical audience.

What you will do:

  • Serve as the single technical owner of Capsugel.com, ensuring stability, availability, and controlled change management.

  • Lead the full lifecycle of website development, architecture, deployment, and long‑term maintainability.

  • Design, build, and maintain responsive, accessible web pages using modern front‑end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript).

  • Own and strengthen the site’s security posture, including secure coding, data privacy, encryption, and access controls.

  • Ensure ongoing compliance with SEO, accessibility (WCAG), performance, and regulatory/quality requirements.

  • Proactively identify risks, implement preventative controls, and maintain audit‑ready documentation.

  • Collaborate with marketing, legal, regulatory, quality, and IT security to deliver compliant, user‑centered digital solutions.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, Information Technology, Computer Systems, or Computer Engineering required.

  • 8+ years of professional web development experience with proven ownership of enterprise websites required.

  • Strong expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), website security, SEO, and performance optimization.

  • Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments (pharma, biotech, life sciences preferred).

  • Ability to independently manage development, documentation, and controlled change processes.

  • Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR).

  • Familiarity with GxP concepts, validation principles, and audit support is a plus.

  • Experience with enterprise CMS or headless CMS platforms and cross-functional stakeholder collaboration.

  • Must reside within a commutable distance of one of our CHI locations: Tampa, FL; Greenwood, SC; Morristown, NJ; Cohasset, MA; or Colmar, FR.
