Clayton Supply Morristown is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our distribution warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, locate, load, and unload products efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate has experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment and is committed to maintaining a safe and organized workspace.Â
Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, pallet jack, or other equipment as required) safely and efficientlyÂ
Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials using proper proceduresÂ
Accurately pick, transport, and place inventory in designated warehouse locationsÂ
Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety issues promptlyÂ
Assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory control activities as neededÂ
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentÂ
Follow all warehouse procedures, safety guidelines, and company policiesÂ
Work collaboratively with warehouse staff, supervisors, and inventory teamsÂ
Other duties as assignedÂ
Qualifications & RequirementsÂ
High school diploma or equivalent preferredÂ
Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain certificationÂ
Previous forklift or warehouse experience preferredÂ
Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructionsÂ
Basic math and inventory skillsÂ
Strong attention to detail and safety awarenessÂ
Physical RequirementsÂ
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50Â lbsÂ
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periodsÂ
Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levelsÂ
Safety & ComplianceÂ
Commitment to workplace safety and OSHA regulationsÂ
Must adhere to all company safety policies and proceduresÂ
