This role requires technical precision, adaptability to diverse working conditions, and active contribution to safety and reliability at airport facilities.Ā

YOUR IMPACTĀ 

These duties are not meant to beĀ all-inclusive,Ā and other duties may be assigned.Ā 

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, andĀ maintainĀ baggage conveyor systems, controls, and related equipment.Ā 

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBBs).Ā 

  • Perform both scheduled and emergency maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems.Ā 

  • Execute mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs as needed.Ā 

  • Accurately document maintenance activities and input data into the CMMS system.Ā 

  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to carry out maintenance tasks.Ā 

  • Complete all preventive (PM) and corrective (CM) maintenance logs and paperwork.Ā 

  • Drive andĀ operateĀ various equipment, including golf carts, company vehicles, and forklifts.Ā 

  • Support operations by quickly responding to and clearing baggage jams.Ā 

  • Comply withĀ company safety program and trainings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSĀ 

  • Valid Driver’sĀ License.Ā 

  • Ability to obtain necessary security clearance.Ā 

  • 3-5Ā years’ experienceĀ in the area ofĀ maintenance operations.Ā 

  • Available to work 1st,Ā 2nd shiftĀ or 3rd, including weekends and holidays.Ā 

  • Experience with 480V and 3-phase motors.Ā 

  • Intermediate to advanced skills in mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repair.Ā 

  • Intermediate understanding of PLC Control systems.Ā

PREFFERRED QUALIFICATIONSĀ 

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.Ā 

  • Familiarity with Airport operations.Ā 

  • Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics  

  • Experience with passenger boarding bridges and conveyance systems.Ā 

  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, project management tools, and CMMS software.Ā

PHYSICAL DEMANDSĀ 

While performing the duties ofĀ theĀ Maintenance Repair Technician 2,Ā the employeeĀ is regularly required toĀ stand; sit; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee isĀ frequentlyĀ required to climb or balance and work in small spaces. Ladder workĀ required. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up toĀ 50Ā pounds.  Ability to work in outside weather conditions on an airport ramp aroundĀ aircraftsĀ and the confined areas of baggage conveyor systems. Specific vision abilities required by this job include good,Ā close proximityĀ vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Good hand / eye coordination isĀ required.Ā 

WORK ENVIRONMENTĀ 

The work environment isĀ similar toĀ airport operation with vehicular traffic. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, outside weather conditions,Ā fumesĀ or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, cold, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Employees will work on an airport ramp aroundĀ aircraftsĀ and around heavy equipment.Ā
