OpenShift Platform Engineer

Location: Remote (U.S.)
Job Type: Full-time (Direct W2)

Job Summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an experienced OpenShift Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and manage enterprise-grade Red Hat OpenShift platforms across on-premises and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in OpenShift, Kubernetes, Linux, automation, and CI/CD.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy, manage, and optimize Red Hat OpenShift clusters.

  • Automate cluster provisioning and lifecycle using Ansible, Terraform, Helm, and GitOps (Argo CD).

  • Configure networking, storage, security, and multi-tenant environments.

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Tekton, Jenkins, or Argo CD.

  • Implement monitoring, logging, disaster recovery, and platform security.

  • Collaborate with development teams and mentor junior engineers.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of container platform experience, including 3+ years with Red Hat OpenShift.

  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, OpenShift, Linux, and container networking.

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform, Helm).

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD, scripting (Bash, Python, or Go), and monitoring tools.

  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Red Hat OpenShift certification.

  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.

  • Knowledge of Service Mesh (Istio, Linkerd), GitOps, and regulated environments (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOC 2).
