Position Summary:             

Non-exempt position.  Work in Receiving Department.  Responsible for all incoming shipments, warehouse organization, data input, as well as preparing materials for Production. Secondary Shipping responsibility for overflow and backup. 

Position Requirements/Qualifications:

Education:             High school diploma or equivalent

                                Bachelor’s degree preferred             

Experience:          5 years of experience in a similar industry (e.g. warehousing, shipping/receiving, material handling etc.)

                                Warehouse experience in a similar industry preferred               

Skills:                      Proficiency in Microsoft (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), data entry, forklift experience

Essential Duties: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and in accordance with all safety requirements. The duties listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • Unload arriving shipments in accordance to our ISO work instructions as well as all safety policies as written or described
  • Check all incoming product, lot #, and weights against Bill of Lading and internal purchase orders.  Inspect for damages, and records all information
  • Records all small packaging receipts in receiving log (computer log); distributes packages to appropriate person/department and turn in packing slips to Purchasing Agent
  • Provides lab with appropriate samples for incoming materials that require quality inspection
  • Enter incoming material into the appropriate data base
  • Print and affix, inventory tags on all incoming material
  • Place all received materials into designated locations in the warehouse, daily
  • Maintain the inventory quarantine area
  • Weigh all unused materials from production runs and return to its original location in the warehouse
  • Gather, weigh, and inventory all scrap Gaylords appropriately
  • Maintain an accurate inventory, and perform cycle counts when necessary
  • Housekeeping: Maintain an organized and clean warehouse. Repair, repack, and relocate damaged inventory daily
  • Communicates to leadership any gaps in achieving daily goals
