RESIDENTIAL CARPENTER | SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, CA

Full-Time | $23–$27 per Hour | Field-Based

About the Role

Rogall + Co. is hiring a full-time Residential Carpenter to join our field team serving San Luis Obispo County and California’s Central Coast.

This is a hands-on, mid-level carpentry position for someone with residential construction experience who takes pride in quality craftsmanship and wants steady work with room to grow. You’ll perform residential carpentry, repair, and finish work on active job sites while working alongside experienced Crew Leads and fellow carpenters.

What You’ll Do

Residential Carpentry & Finish Work

• Perform residential carpentry tasks including framing, trim work, sanding, caulking, priming, repairs, and hardware installation
• Work on structural and decorative elements including windows, doors, fascia, shutters, trim, and other exterior and interior components
• Complete carpentry and finish work to Rogall + Co. quality standards
• Work efficiently alongside Crew Leads, Field Supervisors, and other members of the field team

Job Site Setup & Organization

• Prepare work areas and stage tools, materials, and equipment
• Set up and use ladders safely and efficiently
• Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites throughout the workday
• Help maintain organized on-site work and shop areas
• Keep company trucks stocked, clean, and ready for upcoming projects

Tools, Equipment & Safety

• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other construction equipment
• Inspect and maintain tools and equipment and promptly report problems
• Follow company and job-site safety procedures
• Participate in required safety training and continuing education
• Maintain a professional appearance and follow job-site dress standards

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on carpentry experience with demonstrated proficiency using common residential carpentry tools, equipment, and techniques
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and ladders
• Ability to provide and maintain your own basic hand-tool kit
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites throughout San Luis Obispo County
• Ability and willingness to work at heights as required throughout the workday
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
• Willingness to learn, take direction, and continue developing your carpentry skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in residential construction, finish carpentry, remodeling, painting, or home improvement
• Experience working with trim, windows, doors, fascia, shutters, or exterior residential repairs
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
